Fancy Bastards

CAST (8)

Brittany Snow (“Pitch Perfect”), Sharon Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne, Natasha Leggero (“Neighbors”), Nasim Pedrad (“SNL”), John Roberts (“Bob’s Burgers”), Jameeliah Garrett (“Supanatural”) and Jessica Lowe (“Blended”).

Quick-hit Thought

Natasha Leggero and John Roberts are already season vets in the voice game and should provide good foundation in which to build the series on in terms of people that can play multiple voices. Natasha has been in the voice game for a while most famously for Ugly Americans and Brickleberry while John Roberts voices Linda in the Emmy Award winning Bob’s Burgers. The Osbournes are a mixed bag in terms of talent, most people find Sharon’s voice irritating, but Kelly has done a swell job on The 7D. Nasim Pedrad has some good voice experience having worked on The Awesomes, TripTank, and some others so I’m looking forward to her getting an expanded yet steady role. I have no idea who  Brittany Snow, Jessica Lowe or Jameeliah Garrett are so we’ll have to wait and see how they play out.

Writers (3)

Quick-hit Thought

Price Peterson, Ryan Sandoval and Lily Price are writing the pilot and were all part of the fantastic Amazon-pilot Supanatural, so I expect to see good things this time around for their MTV pilot. I’ll be curious to see if being on a rather shitty cable network for cartoons will cock block any good jokes, so here’s hoping that’s not the case.

Executive Producers (5)

Quick-hit Thought

Jason Micallef and Kristen Schaal alongside Underground’s Josh Turner McGuire and Trevor Engelson. The aforementioned writers are also all executive producers. Kristen Schaal is a voice veteran whom knows her shit having voiced popular characters on Gravity Falls and Bob’s Burgers, moreover she’s done a shit ton of guest spots and was probably instrumental in getting John Roberts this gig. Everyone else is on proving ground with this series.

Studio (1)

Quick-hit Thought

Titmouse reteams with the people whom brought you Supanatural, and really are just a AAA-studio. The studio’s credits include Venture Bros., Metalocalypse, Superjail!, and a whole bunch more that I could be sitting here all day telling you about. Interestingly enough, Titmouse founder Chris Prynoski’s roots are in MTV Animation having helped produce Beavis and Butthead and Daria both of which are still the most relevant of MTV’s cartoon career.
