Rooster Teeth: RwBy Vol 5 Home Release ; 2018-2019 Animated Slate Revealed

Rooster Teeth has revealed it’s 2018-2019 development slate for original animation. Some of it we knew, for example, we told you guys a few weeks ago about the animated adaptation of Million Dollars…But series which features three participants taking part in a game show to deduce what would YOU do for a million dollars. The pilot is set to premiere on Tuesday, May 29th.

Rooster Teeth is also teaming up with Flashgitz for a new pilot called Motor Knight where an idealistic scribe struggles to show his off-the-rails knight that there’s more to being a hero than subjugating peasants and having a wicked-sick muscle car. It’s unclear if that pilot is going to be animated, but with two animation production companies working on it, one would assume so.

Last, but certainly not least, animated horror comedy Spikeface has officially been picked up to a series set to premiere in 2019. According to Variety,  the eight-episode series follows one of the world’s great horror icons,” who slaughters a couple at a roadside motel — before he discovers they have a baby girl and decides to raise the orphan as his own. That pisses off his roommates, who also are iconic horror villains.

The series comes from the guys who brought you It’s Always Sunny, and will be animated in-house at Rooster Teeth Animation.

 

In other Rooster Teeth news, RWBY Volume 5 will be released on home release on June 5th.
