Rick And Morty: Vinyl Release ; Hulu ; Bardel Entertainment

Rick and Morty production studio Bardel Entertainment has a new CEO in Rick Mischel. The Canadian-based studio has made the move after their previous management team of Delna Bhesania and Barry Ward have decided to step down. What does this mean? Not a whole lot, but it happened.


In other random news, Hulu has reported on some interesting viewer habits for streaming fans of Rick and Morty. For starters, the streaming service has reported that 40% of its audience is women and that most viewers like to watch the series on late-night Monday nights and also enjoy other broadcast fare more so in the drama category like This Is Us and Handmaid’s Tale. Other animated franchises like South Park, Family Guy, and Bob’s Burgers also comprise of a lot of the Rick and Morty fanbase. That said, South Park is still the biggest animated franchise on Hulu and it’s not even close.


 

Adult Swim and Sub Pop Records have teamed up for an LP release for Rick and Morty. Twenty-six songs from the show are slated to release in a variety of formats this fall with a CD, vinyl, and digital releases coming September 28th, and a double LP coming in November. That said, fans attending Comic-Con and/or the Adult Swim Festival happening later this year will be able to score the release earlier.

Rick and Morty follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe. Rick Sanchez is living with his daughter Beth’s family and constantly bringing her, his son-in-law Jerry, granddaughter Summer, and grandson Morty into intergalactic escapades. Can the family survive Rick’s insanity and all the chaos the universe throws at them?

Rick and Morty stars Justin Roiland, Sarah Chalke, Chris Parnell and Spencer Grammer. The series is created by Dan Harmon and Roiland who also serve as executive producers.
