Review: We Bare Bears “Bubble”

Next episode…”Blabber”?

Overview (Spoilers Below)

After the bears see a scary movie, Pan Pan fears that the world is covered with germs and as such confines himself to a bubble so as to avoid the possibility of ever getting sick. Eventually, Pan Pan meets up with Charlie and everyone makes their way to a toxic swamp where Pan gets stuck and Charlie nearly drowns trying to save him. Pan soon realizes that he’s gotta own up and save his pal and not worry about the germs, so he exits his bubble and dives into the toxic waste to save his pal. The duo rewards themselves with a nice hose off.

Our Take

This week’s episode was as good as it gets. It’s easy to forget how good Bobby Moynihan (“Pan Pan”) is sometimes as a voice actor and he’s excellent in this one, and then when you throw in Jason Lee’s “Charlie” it takes every episode to another level. We got a well-written scene spoofing on Titanic with Jay and not Silent Bob delivering a performance that’s both hilarious and warm. The ending was great as well, and I wouldn’t mind seeing a whole episode with a fully clean “Charlie” in a starring role.
