Our Take:

We’re down to the last episodes of the month, and let me tell you, they’ll have you seeing double. Speaking of which, the first episode, “A Tale of Two Ice Bears”, features the Bears getting into some trouble with cloning. When they made an Ice Bear clone named Chad, the Bears quickly grow attached to him, except Ice Bear, who believes he’s replacing him.

The episode showcased the importance of Ice Bear regarding his “cool” personality and his duty to protect his brothers. But, of course, his commitment is soon put to the test when his clone performs the same goal, but better, especially cooking. It’s an enjoyable and vibrant episode that features Ice Bear’s patience wearing thin due to his “chill meter” and a solid fight sequence between him and Chad.

The second episode, “Unica”, involves the Bears making another new friend. Not only that, but they’re also helping the environment. They team up with a forest protector named Unica to save the forest from a chainsaw-wielding beaver. However, Unica tends to protect the forest by herself. Aside from the usual environmental message and mediocre antagonist, the episode is humorous and thoughtful regarding the importance of asking others for help.

Overall, both episodes offer double the charm and double the fun. “A Tale of Two Ice Bears” is a delightful match-up between Ice Bear and his doppelganger. “Unica” is a fun environmental episode that showcases that it’s okay to allow others to lend you a hand.

With the last two episodes of the month out of the way, I can say that We Baby Bears is another pleasant addition to Cartoon Network’s 2022 lineup. Its colorful anime presentation and entertaining voice cast are enough for me to recommend it to those who adored We Bare Bears. It’s already renewed for a second season, which means that the Bears’ journey to finding a new home isn’t over yet.
