Everyone in town has a best friend, Moe’s is a rag that gives us a story of The Simpsons in medieval times where sheep give Marge the evil power to predict the future in a quilt made for Mr. Burns.  As it turns out, the same rag Moe uses has had its share of trials and tribulations throughout different eras in history over the course of about 1000 years.

To be honest, even with Jeremy Irons as the voice of said rag, this episode just was typical of the Simpsons in different times motif which has been done about a million times. Even stupider was the fact that it was a rag telling a story. Really? And I thought this was going to be a great episode, what with one of the best couch gags of the season transitioning to a Lionel Richie themed dance party at Moe’s/Springfield’s temporary city hall.

Milhouse and Bart get into a fight, and makes Bart fill crummy about how shitty of a friend he is. And even though he is willing to do anything except apologize for who he is. Luckily, when Bart finally wins, it is actually pretty funny the terms that Bart had to present to ol’ Mils in order to be buds again, totally demeaning but definitely funny. However this storyline was shuffled carelessly in a rehash, making me think had it been coupled with a different episode, I would’ve liked it more.
