Review: THE OWL HOUSE “Watching and Dreaming”

Overview

The fate of everything on the Boiling Isles now rests on the shoulders of a human, a cursed witch, and a determined but tiny king…

Our Take

We pick up where the previous episodes left off with the 3rd and final episode of these hour-long efforts with one hell of a Kaiju-sized battle where everything from past episodes has culminated to this moment.

Every call-back, reference, and even character all played a role in what they were attempting to serve and we even get some character moments with the Collector who isn’t as bad as everyone imagined him to be, and to put it mildly somewhat grows as a person…

Overall, they went all out with this ending. It made it feel like an epic and definitive finale. It also rewards people who watch during and after the credits as it serves as one hell of an epilogue for the aftermath and much like how Amphibia ended didn’t rush things and felt like a smart move to end it the way it did.
