Review: The Loud House “The Loud House Thanksgiving Special”

Overview

As Lincoln and Clyde proceed to patch up the perfect meal for Thanksgiving. All they have to do is boil it, cook it and once that’s taken care of, they’ll eat the turkey as a family just as long as the Gravy Bot doesn’t run amok…

Our Take

This time around we have another glorified “Clip Show” of sorts with an original story mostly used as a framing device consisting primarily of montages of older episodes from past seasons like The Loud House and Casagrande’s: Stay at Home Special from 2018. Much like the previous seasons, part of me wishes this was an actual special this year where the Loud family tries to gather all the food last minute before the feast, as Flip, Mr. Grouse, and Clyde with his two gay dads also come over.

While the previous Thanksgiving special had the Casagrande’s doing a crossover, they were also part of the clip show to further establish themselves as both shows that share the same universe. And much of it is a lot of the slapstick wacky hijinks the show is often known for…

Overall, a passable episode even if it didn’t completely offer anything new. I mean, it was fine with just Lincoln and Clyde being in the entire special, but didn’t they just have to end the episode by reusing the ending scene in The Loudest Thanksgiving? Maybe instead that Clyde and Lincoln tell the viewers the recap of the steps and wish us a Happy Thanksgiving.
