Review: The Loud House “Crimes of Fashion; Scales of Justice”

Dress casually.

Overview (Spoilers Below)

Crimes of Fashion

Clyde and Lincoln investigate the disappearance of a number of scarves after Leni gets framed for shoplifting her own store. Turns out, the culprit of the crime is a lot closer and umm….shorter to where Ms. Carmichael is, and when the case is solved, Leni is able to get her job back.

Scales of Justice

A new mustard factory is threatening to destroy a swamp with endangered fish and their fish babies. As a result, Lana creates a swamp monster to scare away the construction worker. When word gets out about the swamp monster, the press shows up to try and cover and yet still disturb the habitat. This time, Lana tries to get 10,000 signatures as part of a petition, but when she learns about the fish’s federally protected rights, that ultimately becomes the best way to stop anyone from destroying her friends’natural surroundings.

Our Take

It’s ironic that this week’s episode of Loud House would have something to do with heroes in the same weekend people are dressing as Spider-Man for Comic-Con and, in Nickelodeon’s case, a stupid awards show for sports stars. I would love to see the day where people are less trying to be social justice warriors armed only with Twitter, and more of actual measures to exact justice on those doing wrong in the world.
