Review: The Fairly OddParents “Space-Cadad/Goldie-Crocks and the Three Fair Bears”

We scout out the penultimate episode of a Nick classic.

Spoilers Below

Space-Cadad

The scouts head to space to plant a flag and get special status. After narrowly missing the sun, the fairies are accidentally thrown out of a crashing ship by Timmy’s dad. The ship lands on an alien planet, but the aliens are cool and have a pizza joint and invite the gang for some good times.

Goldie-Crocks and the Three Fair Bears

It’s another bit with the scouts, this time around the group has to live in the woods for another badge. Problem is, Timmy’s dad didn’t bring any food so the guys have to wait for him to come back. Fortunately, the fairies and Timmy’s taking advantage, unlike Chloe who is busy feeding her friends bark. Crocker learns of the fairies’ presence and takes his three bear pals on a quest to get their wands. But, when Chloe wishes for the powers of the fairies to be subdued for a day so as to not cheat for the badge, Crocker and the bears head back home to find Timmy’s dad. Eventually, the fairies get their magic back and are able to thwart the bad guys and everyone gets their badges.

Our Take

When it comes to scout-related cartoons, I think my favorite is either the Fireside Girls from Phineas and Ferb or Banana’s scouts from Pig Goat Banana Cricket. Still though, The Fairly OddParents cleans out the attic with two scout-based plots that are somewhat entertaining. It was nice to get some resolution to the three bears before the end of the show’s run, however, I think enough will be enough when we get to the show’s series finale next week.
