Review: The Amazing World of Gumball “The Master”
Master of puppets, I’m pulling your strings
Overview (Spoilers Below)
This week’s episode sees Richard getting sick and tired of the fact that his family keeps squabbling so he decides to break out a little D&D to calm everyone down. Most of the game sees the family bickering more than they are working together to achieve a common goal, however, it doesn’t take long before everyone gets on the same page and become victorious not just in the fantasy world but the real world as well.
Our Take
This idea has been done countless times, but I still had a lot of fun despite the fact that I am not a fan of D&D whatsoever. The variety in animation in the series continues to dazzle, and the newer voice actors of the principal characters are all starting to grow on me. That said, fantastical alterations of animated comedies are nothing new, and in fact, we’ve got a whole series of Disenchantment that’s doing it anyway. However, if that show is too mature for your audience, Gumball’s a great alternative.
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
