Review: The Amazing World Of Gumball ‘The Gift’

Warning, spoilers below, y’all:

AYO, WHAT UP, GUMBALL FAM?  Did you catch last night’s episode? I certainly did.  Oh, you wanna talk about it? LET’S CHAT IT UP.

In this installment of Das Gumball, our main pals, Darwin and Gumball, are stuck trying to find a birthday gift for local super-rich girl (or cloud, as it were) Masami Yoshida.  Due to her reputation as a cruel and un-pleasable gift receiver (with a rich and powerful poppa), the two boys spend the episode scrambling (along with everyone else at school) trying to find a way to escape her wrath.  In the end (HERE’S A SPOILER SO HARD), we learn that Masami really just wants to be treated normally and is far from terrible. D’AWWWWWWWW.

LET’S CRITIQUE.

Yeah, meh, okay.  This one didn’t make me scoop out my eyeballs with a grapefruit spoon but it also didn’t murder me with chuckles either.  I guess it had a nice moral to the story, so that’s good for the chil’ren if you’re into that kind of stuff (RICH PEOPLE ARE JUST NORMAL PEOPLE – LOL, REALLY THEY AREN’T THOUGH).  How could they have made it better?  I’d have to give my normal prescription of “make it more ridiculous” – something Gumball can certainly handle.

Not bad, not great.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND. BYE!
