Review: Tender Touches 2 “Breakup Cake”

Let’s eat our cake, too.

Overview (Spoilers Below)

The Breakup cake is the cake that Steve eats with Michelle that is then followed by Michelle committing the actual act of the breakup. Curtis is in the way more fun part of the show as he wakes up to find himself with Verna’s assistant asking for help in opening a door to level two. Of all people, Charlene is able to crack the code but what’s in there? We’ll find out next week. Curtis gets his dick cut off, but doesn’t seem to mind all that much.

Our Take

Again, Steve’s bit just isn’t doing much for me and I’m hoping his breakup with Michelle is the end of that thread. Fortunately, Curtis’ storyline is still keeping me entertained even if the dialogue was becoming a bit more incoherent than usual with a script that was kind of coming apart at the seams until Charlene kinda saved things at the end there. I’m also having a bunch of fun with Verna who has some of the same sensibilities in the “rambling” department as Charlene and maybe just as funny. Overall, a decent episode, but with the continuing of me not caring about Steve’s premise along with the few missteps in the Curtis plot, this one scores a bit lower.
