Review: Superjail! ”Superstorm”

Spoilers Below

When your production house is in NYC and it’s a couple years after Superstorm Sandy hits your neighborhood, I’m sure you come up with a bunch of ideas. Then, when you take those ideas and put them in the minds of Mike Carlo, Christy Karacas, and the rest of the Superjail crew, you get this week’s triumph.

This week we see The Warden getting all pumped up for a big race when all of a sudden, a weather-controlling robot shows up and causes all sorts of mass destruction! A BUNCH of The Warden’s most important landmarks like his take on candy land, the power station, and more, all get SOME sort of damage. Eventually, Alice joins The Warden to exact revenge and they do so by hitting the reset button on the Robot’s pussy, setting everything back to the way it should be, but not before electrocuting Jared.

What the hell was Jared doing? Well, while The Warden and Alice were dealing with the storm, Jared’s trying his best to win over Charise. Turns out she’s all hot and bothered with The Doctor. Unfortunately, she doesn’t put out much, so the mad scientist decides to clone Charise and create a zombified-whore version of the Ultraprison accountant. She ends up going for Jared, but it isn’t long before the real Charise ends up leaving The Doctor and pining for the return of her Jared. At first, Jared isn’t willing to give up fucking in exchange for talking, but soon realizes the Charise-clone is probably more up The Doctor’s alley than his own.

As mentioned, give the producers a big fucking storm, and they come up with the best episode of Superjail that maybe has ever aired. SOMEHOW, we were able to get the perfect balance of all of the carnage and violence that we love about the show, and meld them with not one, but TWO hysterically written plots. How these guys managed to put all of this into 12 minutes, I may never know, but suffice it to say there’s a little bit of everything for every walk of Superjail fandom.
