Review: Superjail! ‘Jean & Paul & Beefy & Alice’

Spoilers Below

This week’s episode was about as close to the original intro has we’ve seen. In any case it leads us to checking out The Warden getting his golf swing on while Jean, Paul, Beefy, and Alice all chill out in a Jacuzzi.  Jailbot brings this break-in to the attention of The Warden who FLIPS out on the droid. As the bot is cleaning up the mess left behind in the bathroom, he ends up dating said mess which is really like a tumor with a personality. This leads to a budding relationship between said tumor and Jailbot, but the entrails left behind from the tumor infects the prisoners leading to an outbreak of epic proportions.

Unfortunately, when Alice tries to lead the inmates in a quest to get rid of the virus, Jailbot puts the place on lock down. This leads the characters through a pretty-much story boarded-sequence killing as much of the infection as possible. Eventually, the Warden gets infected which means Jailbot has to kill his lady. That said, we still have a massive infection in the rest of the jail.

What’s great about Superjail! is that the producers continue to come up with ways to destroy their population in a bunch of innovative ways. This time around it’s with disease and similar to King Star King’s third episode disease is gross. Unfortunately, those looking for a drawn out death sequence may be disappointed this week and I have NO fucking idea what that deal was during the climax with the story board scenes. Was that intentional? Or were the producers strapped for time/cash?

Not for nothing, Jailbot fucking a tumor was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen from this show’s history, and possibly the most disturbing. Moreover, I hope we get more Jailbot episodes because it looks as though he does convey a bunch of emotions that we haven’t seen a lot of so maybe there’s more to him than meets the eye….GOD DAMN IT, TRANSFORMERS!
