Review: Stone Quackers ”Power Windows (FKA Barry’s Bad Day)”

Spoilers Below

Barry sets off on a bad day that includes his wife making him shit for breakfast, losing his pants, getting death threats, his car breaking down, and being hours late for a work review.

Meanwhile, Whit and Clay find a million dollars and quit being friends so that Whit can just chill and Clay can open up a sub shop. Unfortunately, Whit almost kills Bug in a drug OD and Clay bankrupts his business, but the guys become friends again so it’s all cool.

Eventually, Barf gives Barry a ride to work, but they stop and pick up Dottie. After slicing her finger open and smearing it on Barry’s uniform, Barf crashes into a speeding Whit trying to bring Bug to the hospital. The two cars slam into Clay’s failing restaurant and everyone becomes friends again. Oh, yea and Barf may have burned a dog…

Our Take

It’s really, really difficult being able to do subplots in a 12-minute series, but you gotta give it to the SQ producers for trying. I think I would’ve liked to have seen more of either the Whit and Clay deal or the Barry one. As a matter of fact, I thought we were going to delve a little deeper into Barry’s family, but we haven’t done that just yet. Whit and Clay’s story seemed rather standard fare, but overall ‘Power Windows’ has some good muscle.
