Review: Spider-Man “Bring on the Bad Guys: Part 2”

Maybe send them home.

Overview (Spoilers Below)

After Spidey gets his ass saved by Spider-Girl at the hands of the Spot, Spidey is put through a bunch of illusionary hazards at the hands of the one and only Mysterio. It takes a bit, but Spider-Man is able to outsmart the crafty magician with the powers of science. That said, the mystery of whoever put a bounty on Spider-Man’s head is still at large.

Our Take

While Marvel’s Spider-Man improves on a lot of the areas that Ultimate Spider-Man: Web-Warriors got wrong, the animated adaptation of the movie franchise continues to showcase Disney’s inexplicable ability of mass producing hot garbage and passing it off as quality. For this go, I actually enjoy the mashing of characters that have been introduced in the MCU versus the comics ala Spider-Girl and Spider-Gwen, however, the action choreography is poorly produced and the voice acting is painfully bad. I do like some of the morals that the show introduces, the importance of science and that not all superheroes wear capes, but Disney XD has let out another comic book movie adapted fart in a long line of comic book movie adapted farts that have come before it.
