Our Take

Written once again by Marguerite Bennett and Penciled by returning artist Emanuela Lupacchino. The war against the Starro begins as Team RWBY along with RWBY’s rendition of the Justice League begin their assault against the giant Starro Queen Creature that’s the source of the other Starro’s who are using their mind control on most of the populace against the people and animals of Remnant.

A good part of the story at first puts the focus on Diana/Wonder Woman who goes on an underwater stealth mission due to her body not being organic and immune to Starro’s telepathy. But later on, the action scenes have lots of clever and interesting moments as several heroes combine their powers in creative & unexpected ways. Though I don’t see what role Batman has played yet in the story.

Overall a good start to the action and since the comic is currently ongoing, I’m curious to see where the plot goes next since previous issues had comic covers that foreshadowed something very particular on what Team RWBY and the League are currently battling against in this issue’s ending.
