Review: Rooster Teeth Animated Adventures “Strangers’ Things”

See what they did there?

Spoilers Below

Gus starts off the episode talking about how he hates talking to strangers. If someone is trying to get him to take a survey or sell him something, he just walks away. According to Gus, if the person doesn’t know his name, they have no reason to talk.

Blaine then tells a story about how once, when he was leaving a Chipotle, he had to choose between walking next to a homeless couple that always bothered him or people asking for signatures for charity. He decided to go back into Chipotle.

The first year Gavin lived in the US, a girl asked him about his opinion on Planned Parenthood. Poor Gavin didn’t know what Planned Parenthood was. When he asked, he offended the girl. Gavin was all ready to have an opinion but the girl just stormed away instead.

Finally, Gus talks about a competition he used to have with Jeff. They would see who would come up with the strangest reply when talking to the annoying strangers. Someone asked them about saving trees. Gus sadly said his father was killed by a tree.

Episodes like this make me feel like I have no sense of humor. No one likes talking to the salespeople or the charity people but they are still people. There is no reason to be a dick to someone trying to make a living or supporting their cause. A polite, yet firm, “no, thank you” does wonders. And it doesn’t make you look like an asshole. Maybe Gus needs to hang out with Gavin more.
