Review: Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles “One Man’s Junk; Snow Day”
Overview (Spoilers Below)
One Man’s Junk
Repo-Mantis steals a mystic piece of armor that the Turtles need to get back but by the time the dust settles someone else has already claimed it. In exchange for wasting their time, the Turtles leave a pile of cat food for a mutated cat that wants nothing more than to eat the bad guy mantis, anyway.
Snow Day
It’s a snowy day in the neighborhood and the Turtles with April/Mayhem are having a good time. Ghostbear shows up and is bit by a mutated mosquito that turns him into even more of a beast than before and the former pro-wrestler uses these newfound powers to…attack the Turtles’ snowman. In return, the turtles freeze Ghostbear
Our Take
This week’s episodes feature a couple of tales that I hope are some signs of what’s to come. For “One Man’s Junk”, it’s a mystical armor piece with untold power that could potentially lead to some tasty arcs in which to chomp on. Granted, yes, enchanted trinkets and whatever are all the rage for series like this, but it’s better than what we’ve been getting. “Snow Day” featured the most amount of fight action seen this season that I hope only becomes more increased. Sure, it takes some time to get used to the fact that the Turtles are using incorrect weapons, but again, I’ll take this over a premise of river-rafting in the sewers of NYC any day of the week. The show isn’t great yet, but here’s hoping we’re going to get some juicer elements to keep us hooked sooner, rather than later.
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
