Hold onto your hats, kids. You’re now entering a portal into another review of another installment of another Adult Swim show called Rick and Morty. Reader Beware: If you die while reading this review, you die in real life.

In this week’s episode, Inception gets a makeover and has a one night stand with A Nightmare on Elm Street. Meanwhile, Morty’s precious pup, Snuffles, gets trained a little too well. I’m must say, I’m so thankful that this show is twenty-two minutes long, because it allows for great scenes that are in no way necessary to the plot, but in every way essential to what makes this show so damn funny.

Tonight’s episode had a few very nicely executed pop culture references. I’m glad it didn’t take too long for them to start pulling those out of their hat. It also had its share of Downy-soft core porn for very lonely men who are content with animated cleavage and very brief, unexplicit sexual dialogue.

The main characters are drawn almost as crude as they act, but the rest of the animation is very aesthetically pleasing. So far, as far as the scenery goes, they’re taking full advantage of the limitless possibilities of inter-dimensional travel, or in this case dream-invading, not to mention Adult Swim’s edgy platform. I’m very excited to see what kind of absurdities they have in store for us next week. In the meantime, I hope none of you have nightmares about being neutered or spayed. Rick and Morty don’t need to get into my dreams to convince me that this episode deserves another outstanding grade of
