Review: Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty “Sleeping Yeti; The Sand Crab Man “

Time to go to sleep.

Overview (Spoilers Below)

Sleeping Yeti

Yona falls asleep after eating a bad apple so Felicity and Miguel have to fix her up with a guy that has to be courted into giving her a golden waffle iron so as to revive after just one date.

The Sand Crab Man

The Sand Crab Man, like the writers of this show, is responsible for putting people to sleep when they’ve been up way past their bedtime. Since Felicity is throwing a party that’s a bit rough at first but starts to catch fire late, she convinces the Sand Crab Man to take the night off. Unfortunately, the entire town starts taking on all night benders and can’t fall asleep, so Felicity has to find him and convince the Sand Crab Man to take up his mantle again so that everyone can get some shut-eye.

Our Take

I think the show is starting to get a little more creative in its story department, so at least Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty is giving us something to chew on. That said, I was expecting a tad more attitude out of this series, like a bit more of a badass out of Felicity, but I’m not getting any of that nor any of the “female empowerment” type stuff that the original series synopsis was feeding us. Instead, we’re more or less getting Fairly OddParents retread.
