Review: Pig Goat Banana Cricket “Mall Ya Later”

Spoilers Below

A mall is erected around the tree house.

Banana needs to earn money in order to purchase a toy gun. He eventually sells everything in the house including Goat. When he tries to get her back, the buyer aka Nasty Cat makes a hard play. She wants the tank that Banana just bought, which after must thought, gets exchanged for Goat. But, the tank gets rid of Nasty Cat and decides to go back to Banana.

Goat runs a wizard-themed kiosk. Thomas Jefferson opens up a rival operation and starts to take a lot of Goat’s customers. The two duke it out for a while when Goat runs into Cricket.

Cricket is put in charge of a store that sells Jorts. Unfortunately, he can’t leave until someone else tries on a pair of Jorts which is a lot more difficult than it sounds. A few customers show up, but nothing pans out.

Pig heads to the movies, but the movie he wants tot see aka Space Gnomes is sold out of tickets forever. Soon, Pig gets mistaken for an employee and starts helping customers, but is able to make a break for it and go see the movie. Too bad he breaks the projector and ruins the movie, but Goat and Jefferson’s battle spills over and that seems to be enough excitement as they bring some of the movie characters to life with their magic wands. One of the movie characters chases Pig all over the place and shoots Jefferson out of the sky just in time for Goat to save him. Banana pulls up with his tank and shoots a glue glob that allows Cricket to slip on a pair of jorts and grant his freedom from retail forever.

Our Take

The 2016 premiere of Pig Goat Banana Cricket goes over like the cheese dip pretzels from Auntie Anne’s. They taste good at first, but then you’re shitting your brains out later.

Such is this week’s episode that seemed to kind of rush through everyone’s individual bits only to get to the climax, but it was fine. Nothing really sticks out in terms of hilarity, but the different plot points were well thought out though I would’ve liked to have seen more of Banana and his glue gun.
