Review: NFL Rush Zone: Guardians Unleashed – “Never Underestimate The Wild Card”

 

Saints and Rams get their time in the Rush Zone, but is it worth the space on your DVR? Find out after the JUMP!!!

This week’s guests are James “What A Rush!” Laurinaitis of the St. Louis Rams and Marques “Formerly Elite” Colston of the New Orleans Saints.

Ash is given her bridesmaids dress by Linda, her father’s new fiancé. It’s pretty and pink and everything that Ash isn’t. But this day is important to her family so she talks with her dad about her feelings until a large group of Blitzborgs attacks. She enters the Rush Zone and starts the battle while waiting on back up to arrive. When they do the momentum quickly shifts and the day is saved. Meanwhile, Wild Card and Sudden Death are arguing about the Safe Zone still being up.

Ash calls for a family meeting and lets Linda in on her big secret. Linda says that it’s a lot to process and she walks away as RZ calls Ash away to the base. The New Orleans Saints Super Bowl rings will be on display at the Superdome and RZ needs a team to go there to protect them. There’s also been a large amount of disturbances around the Safe Zone, so RZ splits the team up and keeps 3 Guardians home to investigate.

Wild Card walks past a cavern and notices Drop Kick’s arm laying under a rock. He goes in for a closer look but when he does the arm clinches on and sends him to the bottom of a deep hole. Drop Kick ambushes Wild Card and they battle to a stalemate before the cavern starts to collapse. Ash meets Linda at the bowling alley to discuss the bombshell she dropped earlier. Linda is proud that Ash is a Guardian but is having a hard time coming to terms with it. She asks Ash to step away from the Guardians. Ash quickly declines to which Linda responds that she can’t be around if Ash is going to put herself in danger like this.

The Safe Zone goes down and two giant transmitters go up in fields creating a triangle around the Hall Of Knowledge. There will be an imminent attack soon so Ash is sent to New Orleans to retrieve the other Guardians to help assist in the defense of Canton. When Ash arrives she meets Mr. Laurinaitis and discusses making tough decisions and having people ask you to quit on your dreams. Then, the whole team is attacked by Sudden Death. He’s in pursuit of the Super Bowl rings. Ash grabs them and runs away but Sudden Death is able to trip her up and obtain the rings for his own evil purposes.
