Review: Mike Tyson Mysteries “Carol”

And not the Christmas variety.

Overview (Spoilers Below)
Carol’s got a secret admirer and she decides to hire the Mike Tyson Mysteries crew to help her figure out who is behind the shenanigans. Carol wants to make sure that whoever is doing this isn’t being mean-spirited and genuinely likes her. Typically her day is rather shitty, she works at a call center and she doesn’t have a lot of friends so this could do a lot for her emotional well-being. We eventually find out who the culprits are and Mike destroys them then marries Carol who immediately moves in.

Our Take

This week’s episode was heavy on a number of different levels. For starters, Mike Tyson gets married to the office practice girl which makes me wonder if they plan to keep Carol around for a while. Even better, the episode was horrifyingly too real in its depiction of working in a call center environment. Having worked in one, I can attest to a lot of what Mike is going through in terms of his day-to-day just to get to the weekend and then the classic office pranks.

“Carol” offers a hilarious bounce-back from last week’s episode with Pigeon’s jokes hitting well though I think we can all agree that a little less Marquesse would go a long way. But make no mistake, the namesake of the series was the star of this one.
