Review: Major Lazer ”Treble in Paradise’

Penny’s teacher Dr. Nerd has taken all of the world’s bass and put it in one drop. Major Lazer hears about it and goes with Penny over to Nerd’s apartment to see what the hell went down. A chase ensues and eventually Dr. Nerd drinks the bass drop and then goes NUTS on the town. Major and Penny turn to Blkmrkt whom produces Major into being the greatest bass drop ever. Penny heads in after him, and after a battle, Penny convinces Dr. Nerd to give the bass back and save music.
Our Take
And finally we get the Major Lazer show we’ve been wanting. Was there an epic battle? Kind of. But the plot was one of the best we’ve seen from Major Lazer since the ‘Vampire Weekend’ episode, and Dr. Nerd serves as a very serviceable opponent similar to the Riddler for Batman in that he’s the first for the series that acts more like a rabid dog clinging on to the leg of Major rather than anyone who can do major damage. I would have liked to have seen more of a battle, but the progression to more quality episodes of Major Lazer is certainly happening.
