Review: Lazor Wulf “They Knew”/”Is It Tho?”

Overview

They Knew

Matilda sets off on a campaign to make sure Tuesday and Sunday switch so that the work week starts on Wednesday and ends on a Sunday. While at first not crazy about being part of the cause, Lazor and his fam join in for no other reason than to get additional exposure for their puppet show.

Is It Tho?

Blazor Wulf’s business is doing great, and she wants to expand. Unfortunately, the Forest Spirit shows up complaining about all of the trees she’s cutting down. When Blazor declines, the Spirit’s requests, he leaves Daryl’s body and inhabits Stupid Horse’s body so as to cause ruckus all over Blazor’s store. Blazor gets the spirit to leave, but not before he burns down the establishment on the way out.

Our Take

Here we are at the end of the second season of Lazor Wulf which feels a bit like a campaign given that the show sneak peeked in April 2020, premiered in early December, and now it’s halfway through the first month of 2021, and we’re still talking about the show. It’s probably the way creator Henry Bonsu would have wanted it, but the franchise benefits with it’s quarter-hour runtime because it’s a series that needs to be brisk and get to the point to be effective.  The producers did a great job of that this season, and we’ll get into more of that in the season review. We also get a bit of a cliffhanger with the way Blazor’s business went down, but knowing this show, that’ll be fixed in two seconds. A solid second season for Lazor Wulf, and here’s to more to come.
