Review: Harvey Beaks ”The Rentl Bike; Anti-Valentine’s Day”
Spoilers Below
”The Rentl Bike
Foo wants to ride bikes with Harvey and the gang, so Harvey tries to help him pay for one. Unfortunately, the shop keeper Randl rips them off so they decide to steal the bike back. The kids do just that, but Randl chases after them all the while Harvey tries to show Foo how to ride a bike. As the boys escape, Fee shows up to fight Randl, but she’s no help. Eventually, the raccoon owner catches up to the guys, but the riders are able to take off but end up crashing down a hill. Randl catches up with Harvey and Foo, take back his bikes, but the boys don’t care and seem to run off and go play.
Our Take
MARC MARON!!! Yep, this show knows how to cast voices, and that proves it. Marc was awesome as Randl, and I think that’s a character that can keep coming back and coming back. I hope he does…

Anti-Valentine’s Day”
Harvey, Fee, and Foo are celebrating Valentine’s Day and they kinda do it like Halloween where they go from door to door getting Valentines and Candy. Unfortunately, Fee and Foo keep getting shafted so Fee decides to do an ‘Anti-Valentine’s Day’ to try and fight back. The new holiday is a hit, but it takes sometime for the rest of the town to get on board. Harvey’s not exactly thrilled because he liked Valentine’s Day because he got a lot of cards, but this new holiday he doesn’t get a whole lot in return because everyone likes him and has nothing but nice things to say. There’s not a negative bone in Harvey’s body, so when he comes up with his first mean card it really means something. The subject of the card? Harvey’s mother! As a result of the card, Harvey gets grounded and sent to his room. Eventually, Harvey’s parents come around and throw a party for Anti-Valentine’s Day.
Our Take
I actually really like the idea of an ‘Anti-Valentine’s Day’, and thought the idea ran rather well with this episode. I’m starting to get a little annoyed by how much the rest of the town doesn’t like Fee and Foo. It’s starting to get a little old and I hope Fee and Foo can be better accepted sooner rather than later.
