Review: Guardians of the Galaxy “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”

This week, the Guardians take on a mission where they’ve got to take a troublesome kid back to her father. Unfortunately, this little shit is a telekinetic, sort of like a Jean Grey but with Bart Simpson’s habits of getting into mischief. This eventually leads to her leading Drax and Gamora on a planet with the Empathetics while Quill gets her dad for the interception.

Dad shows up, threatens to take everyone out if the little girl doesn’t come with, and even with the back and forth, she eventually does but instead of going back to a world where your emotions are taken away, she makes an attempt to reconcile the world she wants to live in with the one she has to live in.

Our Take

I commend the producers for attempting to put out an original tale, but this one sucked. Ever play Assassin’s Creed ? This week’s episode felt like one the repetitive shit side mission that you’ve played 100 times. Not that the main plot is anything to write home about in this show’s second season anyway, but this was that much worse.
