Review: Good Vibes “Tech Rehab”

The kids’ parents get frustrated with the younger generation’s dependence on technology, so they send the gang on a wilderness trip with a former tech addict, which goes horribly wrong.

Spoilers Below!

Of course its perfect timing that this episode starts off with the kids playing too much video games on the week MW3 comes out( go outside, the game isn’t that great). But, really the rest of the class is just as bad because the episode continues with technology ruling the kids lives, everything from Farmville, texting, and the like. This causes the teachers to call a PTA meeting where they tell them about a plan to bring in Claw Jones(Dana Carvey) to teach their kids about tech rehab! Cutaway boy scouts. Wadska shows up as Lecter!

Apparently Jeena is back with Turk, as all the kids travel to an island shaped like a pig. The kids learn about all sorts of outdoor survival skills, like making smores, learning what birds sound like, and bestiality. But, when the Claw dies, the kids have to test their survival skills. Funny thing is, big tough Turk is afraid of the dark and pretty much begs Mondo to help him through this ordeal in exchange for no more harassment. Woodie and Wadska arent doing that much better, the former eating a tarantula, the latter getting bit by a snake. And despite their squabbling, Milan and Jeena make a good team fighting off monstrous boars. Luckily, when a boat comes by, Turk works Mondo into starting a signal fire, which gets them all saved…+1

Overall, another good week for the guys. The only thing strange that I learned about this show is that story lines inherently do not cross over week-to-week as I remember Turk and Jeena splitting up last week, only to be back together this week without any sort of explanation. However, Claw Jones was on fire and him getting satisfied by a huge pig was all sorts of wrong. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to get back to texting a buddy of mine while playing PS3, at the same time as blasting some metal through my technically sound speakers.
