Review: Gary And His Demons “Gary And His Brother”

I’ve got a brother.

Overview (Spoilers Below)

Gary’s brother Steve has to crash on the couch because his wife threw him out of the house. It takes a bit, but the once icy relations between the two begin to subside and Gary soon appreciates his brother’s company, so much so that when his wife calls Steve to talk things out, Gary deletes some of the calls from Steve’s phone. When Steve finds out, all hell breaks loose and Steven ends up in the hospital.

Our Take

The best episodes this season are the ones where we get to learn a little more about Gary, in this case, we get to spend a bunch of time with his brother Steve. We’ve seen the duo’s tumultuous relationship in the past, but this time around we get to spend way more time with it and the results are positive. In fact, the relationship between the two seemed way more sincere and entertaining than the one Gary and Hanley have.

When Gary and Steve’s brotherly love begins to flourish is really when this episode gets good, and when our fabled demon slayer uses demons for alternative means, it provides for unexpected results that I wish would happen more often. I’d like to see more action-packed flair, but I enjoyed Steve’s company and hope he pops up more in the future.
