Review: Daddy & The Big Boy “The Lies Begin”

What lies beneath?

Overview (Spoilers Below)

In the premiere episode of Daddy & The Big Boy, two unlikely strangers attempt to break into the house so as to pretend to be the beneficiaries of a recently passed woman who has left both a huge house and a massive fortune. The lawyer drops by and asks for a tour of the house which, of course, gets very interesting because our two leads haven’t been in this house before and as a result have to lie their asses off. At the end of the tour, the lawyer informs the two that they both would be able to collect about $4.3 million, however, the duo has to live together for one full year.

Our Take

It’s interesting to compare two series with four-minute runtimes like Daddy & The Big Boy and Turbo Fantasy, both on VRV/Mondo. While Turbo Fantasy relies on a one-note joke that seldom brings anything of value in the story department, Daddy & The Big Boy jam packs a whole backstory with underlying premise and arcs for a whole season in the same amount of time. Moreover, the Oddfellows Lab-produced series, while still holding the trademark 3D fantasy porn looking aesthetic seen in other series produced by the studio, most notably, World Doctors. The production does seem quite a bit more polished than previous efforts, despite facial features still looking horrifying as ever.

Fortunately, I’m hooked. The premise is smart, and I’m already laughing my ass off at the budding relationship between Daddy and his big boy.
