Review: Craig of the Creek “Wildernessa”

What do we think of Cartoon Network’s newest show?

Overview (Spoilers Below)

Craig, Kelsey, and JP are hanging out on the creek when they meet Wildernessa, protector of the forest’s wildlife from all those that don’t appreciate it and, quite frankly, she’s not impressed with either Craig or JP. Fortunately, she finds a kindred spirit in Kelsey and inspires the bird owner to take similar actions on the area’s animals. Unfortunately, Kelsey takes things a bit too far and causes a mess, but with the help of Wildernessa, things are set back to normal.

Our Take

For those missing the playful forest adventures of Harvey Beaks, I give you Craig of the Creek. While the Cartoon Network franchise doesn’t have the production strength in the musical or background categories, show creators Matt Burnett and Ben Levin spin a setting inspired by kids derivative from an age when castles were made outside out of sticks and not of digital sprites by way of apps on smartphones. Overall, if this new episode is indicative of the future series, we’re going to be in for one hell of a treat.
