Review: Bunsen is a Beast “Amanda Gets Schooled” ; “Beast in Show”
Too bad this episode flunked out.

“Amanda Gets Schooled”
Bunsen and Mikey take it upon themselves to tutor Amanda so that she can pass a very important test that will save her from summer school. Along the way, the duo try a bunch of methods to try and help her study but settle on Bunsen using something growing out of his head that is able to transfer smarts, personality, and even a tail, so that Amanda can get smart enough to take the test. She ends up getting too much which means Amanda has to send some of those smarts back, but everyone’s able to pass the test and avoid summer school.
“Beast in Show”
Mikey and Amanda go head-to-head in a dog show where the winner gets a spot on a commercial, but neither of them have dogs. So Mikey enters in Bunsen as his dog and Amanda enters in a robot dog. The competition is fierce, but the robot dog ends up turning on Amanda and helps the guys win out despite the fact that everyone involved cheated.
Our Take
“Amanda Gets Schooled” was 10 minutes of poop gags, nothing really to see here. “Beast in Show” was a little better, but why is everything a competition with this show? Could the writers not come up with more original material they gotta keep going back to THAT well?
