Review: Bravest Warriors “Ghosts of the See-Through Zone”

Does the third episode live up to the standards brought about by the first two?

Spoilers Below

Now that Chris has returned, Beth has to make a decision between him and Danny. Confused, she goes shopping with Plum so they can talk through her problem. While the girls are away, Beth’s extreme emotions turns on a temporal helmet that opens a doorway to the See-Through Zone. As a result, the ghost of Paralyzed Horse comes through. The Horse refuses to let anyone else leave the base.

Danny, depressed that Beth is going to leave him for Chris, takes Impossibear’s advice and drinks way too much. He even swallows a worm, which eventually grows into the Aeon Worm. And then it attacks everyone. And all of Wallow’s pets disappear into the See-Through Zone.

The boys attempt to fix everything by smashing the helmet. Before the destruction can occur, Beth arrives home with the decision that she is not choosing either boy. For the team, she will remain alone instead. Once Beth has officially decided, the helmet turns off and the Aeon Worm disappears.

We are three episodes into this new season and I’m not sure how I feel about it. There wasn’t a lot going on here. Beth and Plum talked about Beth’s feelings while the boys fought with holograms? Maybe? There wasn’t a good explanation about the See-Through Zone creatures. They disappeared awfully fast when the helmet shut off. I know that this is really early in the season but this episode was just kinda boring. Especially since the series is now on a pay app, I’m hopeful that the series will pick up some steam now that we’re through the messy “Chris is back” emotional drama. At least there was Catbug this time!
