Review: Bigfoot “Community Profile”

Overview (Spoilers Below)

The town of Swell needs to bring in some much-needed tourism so the mayor wants Bigfoot to be a main attraction to do just that. Bigfoot opts to film a movie so that people can be reminded as to why they love Bigfoot so much. To do that, Bigfoot’s gotta stay out of the garbage and be a nice guy in and around town. We get a finished product but with mixed results.

Our Take

Can you believe it? The one time Seth Rogen project is finally friggin’ here! Instead of Seth, we get another Canadian in the form of K. Trevor Wilson donning the starring role and, for the most part, he does a more than solid job. I question some of the dialogue given that comes off sounding closer to that of gen 1 Hulk, but I was very much entertained. Bigfoot carries some of the same soul that Brad Neely’s China IL had complete with hilarious acts of violence, crass humor, and entertaining premises. Not all of Bigfoot is revolutionary, but with exquisite attention-to-detail in the characters and an aesthetic that doesn’t look like anything on TV right now, Bigfoot could be one of the good ones.
