Review: Aroha Bridge “The Wall”

Overview (Spoilers Below)

When a wall is erected by a corporation called the Kamokamo Corporation, the entire Hook family feels the heat as a result. The parents head on over to protest while the twins decide to hold an impromptu concert so that Kowhai can get exposure and Monty can get access to his favorite chips which are now being hoarded by the aforementioned company. Eventually, Kamokamo hires on Kowhai as sort of someone who can get their positive “spin” out there. But, when offered with a three-year exclusivity deal that would’ve meant abandoning her family, Kowhai leaves and reunites with the ones who matter most.

Our Take

Annnd that’s a wrap on season three for Aroha Bridge! We’ll get into more detail in the season review next week, but I’ve been super-impressed when the show takes on topics that absolutely feel right at home here in America. “The Wall”. Ever since Donald Trump utter those words he both literally and figuratively divided a country and Aroha Bridge showcased this with such care and tact that if I didn’t know any better I’d say this one was written right in Hollywood. The episode acknowledged a global issue, proving that everyone in the world watches what we do and they have things to say about it as well. This week’s episode is worth watching for anyone regardless of where they are.
