Review: The Amazing World of Gumball ‘The Promise’
Whose side would YOU take…games or friends??
Spoilers Below
Joe is kinda ticked at Darwin at Gumball and the brothers don’t know why. Darwin really wants to figure out why Joe is sad, but Gumball has a promise with his bro to play video games this weekend…and a promise is a promise Lieutenant Dan! It’s supposed to be a HUGE game, but Darwin feels bad about ditching out on Joe while he’s sad. No matter what, Joe and Darwin are trying to hang out, but Gumball is acting a bit too selfish in his game playing. As a matter of fact, when Darwin tries to sneak out to join the recording of Joe’s newest video, he smashes on some Gumball-placed bricks. The next day at school, Joe becomes BFF’s with Darwin and Gumball again despite the fact that Joe is wrapped in bandages mostly due to the fact that Darwin ditched him at the video shoot.
Wow, Joe is a pretty sad dude. Usually a series would try and do the moral thing, but I actually commend Gumball for doing the complete opposite. In any case, this week’s episode was a lot of fun, and I loved the irony of this episode premiering the same day GTA V released which probably had people everywhere picking between video games and a social life. I also never realized how evil Gumball gets, but that’s what I’m loving about this show…character development.
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
