Recently, The Asian-Australian Brothers Kevin and Luke Lerdwichagul. Who are the owners of Glitch Productions along with their own Youtube channel are the creators of the CG Anime-inspired futuristic series “Meta Runner” did a comprehensive Reddit AMA interview where they talk about their plans for Season 2, how much the COVID-19 Crisis has affected production, how impactful TASCorp is within the show’s fictional gaming world to attain it’s own infamy & celebrity status, and what does the Gaming Duck do?
On the progress of Season 2 and if the COVID-19 has affected production in any way.
It’s going into the final stages. It’s all coming together. We all worked at home pretty efficiently.
On the estimated time for Season 2 to come out and it’s episode count.
2020 and will have a total of 10 episodes.
On how long on average does it take to make an episode and what’s utilized to for the animation process.
Too long. Also, we use Maya and Unreal Engine 4.
On unusual storylines that didn’t make the cut during Season 1, Along with significant plot changes compared to your original vision for the series’ story direction.
We were going to go deep into everyone’s backstories but had to cut some because we couldn’t fit them all in. The beginning was actually going to be completely different. We plan to do a video on it later this year. Also, Bo (the orange-haired girl on all the billboards) was gonna play a bigger role lol.
On considering the possibility of making the fictional videogames within the world of Meta runner a reality or are they based on something?
It would be awesome if we could make them into actual games.
On why it was intended to be a Big deal when Tari randomly said she works for TASCorp (when trying to answer the crowd’s question), and everyone went quiet and whispered in shock and if more of the company itself will be explored in Season 2.
TASCorp is a big powerful company in Silica City. Some people revere them, some people fear them. Also, Meta Runners from TAS Corp are highly respected & heavily protected Also, We will definitely explore TAScorp a lot more this season.
On what the use of the “Gaming Duck” within the show and does Does Tari like ducks?
It connects to your game and it quacks whenever you get an achievement, and yes Tari likes Ducks.
On the Inspiration that sparked the show itself.
Our sister made a drawing of Tari that inspired us to make Meta Runner.
And finally, if Season 3 will be a thing after Season 2.
