Reddit AMA Recap: Amber Nash (“Pam”) Updates Us On Archer Season 12

The future of Archer looks bleak at best. With the voice of Mallory aka Jessica Walter no longer with us and threats of a potential union, the longest-running animated sitcom in FX Networks history is nearing the finish of the show’s 12th season, however, fans are already asking about the future of the franchise with all things considered. Taking part in a recent AMA, Archer voice Amber Nash talks about voicing “Pam” but also what happens now with the future of Archer which she says is slated to premiere sometime later this year. On her favorite alternate “Pam”

I love them all. But I think it might be Poovey. They told me the character was based on Russell Crowe’s character from L.A. Confidential!! Plus I got to have a lot of emotion in that season.

On Amber’s favorite episodes

I love the Pope episode too, it’s def on my favorites list. I also love Southbound and Down in season 5 when they are on the road, it’s the first episode where we see Pam and Archer as a duo and they are the best together!

The funniest on the Archer cast

Everyone is so funny. Jon is pretty filthy in the best way and him and Aisha together really bring it out in each other. Chris Parnell is the most naturally hilarious person and Jessica, she was so wickedly funny and yet still very classy, what a combo!

 

On when the show’s 12th season debut and what happens with Jessica Walter

We have a nice tribute at the end of season 12.

We just did. We finished recording season 12. The animators are still busy making it and we’re not sure when it will air but sometime later this year. We don’t know about season 13 yet. We hope so!

 

How the cast of Archer records

I WISH we recorded together, getting to go to work everyday with those dingdongs would be the best. But alas we are all separate, we all live in different cities and it’s faster and cheaper to do everyone separately. So, I always say after 12 years of working together we all still love each other because we don’t actually work together. We only see each other at events and cons and stuff and we have so soooooo much fun together.
