Producers & Writers For “The Simpsons” Headed to E3

What could it be?

The largest video game-only conference in the United States has announced that writers for The Simpsons will be part of E3 on Tuesday, June 11th @ 6pm. Why are the writers for the longest-running primetime animated sitcom going to a video game conference? I’ve heard a big update for The Simpsons: Tapped Out is on the way, but there has also been some chatter for an entirely new game altogether so we’ll have to wait and see.

E3 kicks off on June 11th and runs through the 13th and is held at the E3 coliseum in Los Angeles, California.

Recently nominated for a 2018 Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program, THE SIMPSONS exploded into a cultural phenomenon in 1990 and has remained one of the most groundbreaking and innovative global entertainment franchises. HOMER (Dan Castellaneta), MARGE (Julie Kavner), BART (Nancy Cartwright), LISA (Yeardley Smith) and MAGGIE are instantly identifiable around the world. The Emmy Award-, Annie Award- and Peabody Award-winning animated comedy celebrated its 30thseason this year.

THE SIMPSONS is a Gracie Films Production in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created by Matt Groening and developed by James L. Brooks, Groening and Sam Simon. Brooks and Groening are executive producers. Al Jean also serves as an executive producer and the series’ showrunner. The Gracie Films Worldwide Brand Division develops and produces the licensed content for the series.

The Simpsons has been renewed for a 31st and 32nd season and is slated to return this Fall as part of FOX’s return of Animation Domination.
