Prison Pit gets start date for uncensored/censored versions

In a somewhat interesting turn of events, it looks like the producers of Prison Pit are taking a page from Mondo Mini Shows and offering up two different versions of the web series inspired by the Johnny Ryan comics on July 24th.

For those that don’t know, Prison Pit is an upcoming animated series inspired by the Ryan comics that’s all about ultra violence, brutality, and death with a bunch of monsters in an almost a battle royale killing each other in an effort to stay alive. Joining the cast is ‘Cannibal Fuckface’ played by James Adomian, Blake Anderson (Workaholics) as the voice of ‘Jizzra’, Kyle Kinane as both ‘Rabies Bloodbath’ and ‘Rottweiler Herpes’, and Rick Shapiro as ‘Prison Guard’.

As mentioned before, we are getting two different flavors of Prison Pit. The censored version is free and will stream on the Rug Burn channel. The uncensored version will cost $6.99 but it comes with a 23-minute ‘Fuckumentary’ which comes  complete with interviews of the entire voice cast, members of the animation team, superfan and comic artist Gerard Way, Prison Pit creator Johnny Ryan, as well as comic book legends Peter Bagge (Hate) and Eric Reynolds of alternative comics publisher Fantagraphics.
