Oni Press Announces New “Rick and Morty” One-Shots Inspired By Season Three’s “Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender”

In pretty kick-ass news, Oni Press has Tweeted that a new quarterly one-shot series of Rick and Morty comics are on the way inspired by the show’s season three episode entitled “Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender”.

For those that don’t recall, the Vindicators were a team of superheroes trying to protect us all from Worldender, but Rick ended up getting drunk and killing everybody, including Worldender, the arch villain. This new run of 40-page quarterlies will reportedly see the team create a new villain as the premise for the first issue, with the other quarterlies featuring premises involving Krombopulos Michael, Sleepy Gary, and Pickle Rick and Jaguar teaming up.  As you can probably ascertain by the images below, it teases characters from Rick and Morty’s past that we haven’t seen in a while, which is why comics is a perfect spot for these one-shots to happen.

Rick and Morty Presents: The Vindicators will release March 7, 2018 with issues #2-4 of the one-shots coming June, September, and November.
