Netflix’s “Castlevania” To Release New Line Of Toys This Summer

While the producers of The Witcher continue to tease an animated series, new action figures inspired by Netflix’s video game adaptation of an animated series are coming by way of Diamond Toys Select and being illustrated by Eamon O’Donoghue. The toys announced include Carmilla, Godbrand, and Dracula with Trevor, Sylpha, and Alucard also slated to be made part of the collection. Accessories will be made available to the toy line.

Castlevania is an American adult animated web television series based on the video game series of the same name by Konami.  The first two seasons adapt the 1989 entry Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse and follow Trevor Belmont, who defends the nation of Wallachia from Dracula and his minions.

When his wife is burned at the stake after being falsely accused of witchcraft, the vampire Count Dracula declares all the people of Wallachia will pay with their lives. He summons an army of demons that overruns the country, causing the people to live lives of fear and distrust. To combat this, the outcast monster hunter Trevor Belmont takes up arms against Dracula’s forces, aided by the magician Sypha Belnades and Dracula’s dhampir son Alucard.

Castlevania is currently in production for a third season, and despite a rumor that the season was going to be released in December, producer Warren Ellis has recently disputed this.
