Netflix Showcases Massive Sizzle Reel For A Slew Of 2019-Slated Anime

To cap off a busy weekend of anime announcements, Netflix has released a new teaser trailer that details the anime coming next month to the world’s largest streaming service, as well as the rest of the year. Of note, Cannon Busters isn’t shown anywhere which, right away, buts the likelihood of the series premiering in 2019 in doubt. They DID post footage of a slew of anime that we both knew about and a few we didn’t. Also of note, Netflix has teased that more The Disastrous Life of Saiki K is on the way, however, they didn’t note if the series would be English dubbed this time or if they are gonna pull a whammy as they did with the show’s third season and not produce any episodes in English language audio.
Ultraman
Debuts April 1, 2019
Several years have passed since the events of Ultraman, with the legendary “Giant of Light” (光の巨人 Hikari no Kyojin) now a memory, as it is believed he returned home after fighting the many giant aliens that invaded the Earth. Shin Hayata’s son Shinjiro seems to possess a strange ability, and it is this ability, along with his father’s revelation that he was Ultraman, that leads Shinjiro to battle the new aliens invading the Earth as the new Ultraman.

The protagonist, Baki Hanma, trains with an intense focus to become strong enough to surpass his father, Yujiro Hanma, the strongest fighter in the world. An epic showdown between violent death row inmates and Baki and his friends begins! More than 63 million copies of the original manga series have been printed and the series will be comprised of 26 episodes for Netflix, produced by TMS Entertainment.

Ingress will follow two new characters named Sarah and Makoto after they are affected by the “exotic matter” that lies at the heart of the game. Sarah is given the ability to perceive “certain aspects of time and space,” while Makoto has a form of psychometry that lets him see the history of almost any object once he has touched it.
