Netflix News: The Midnight Gospel Canceled ; Various Anime Get Premiere Dates

Ahead of the network’s Geeked Week, Netflix has unveiled premiere dates for a couple of anime series premiering this summer with posters. Not with a poster, yet, Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time which has been announced for a July 29th premiere date. Also of interest, Bastard!, which was an anime previously announced for premiere in June but wasn’t included in the sizzle reel. That said, we’re happy to see it confirmed for June 30th.

Creator of The Midnight Gospel Duncan Trussell has confirmed that there will be no second season of the popular Netflix series despite the fact that there were ideas of where the second season could have gone.

This was one of the good ones. Duncan will next be seen in Dan Harmon’s Krapopolis for FOX.

Synopsis:

The Midnight Gospel revolves around a spacecaster named Clancy Gilroy, who lives on the Chromatic Ribbon, a membranous, tape-like planet situated in the middle of a colorful void where simulation farmers use powerful bio-organic computers to simulate a variety of universes from which they harvest natural resources and new technology

Screenrant is reporting that Paradise PD’s final season has entered the final stages of audio production which hopefully is lending itself to a new season premiere announcement soon. News broke last week of Farzar’s cast which will be the follow-up to Waco O’Guin and Roger Black’s Paradise PD’s final season which still doesn’t have a premiere date.

An eager young rookie joins the ragtag small-town police force led by his dad as they bumble, squabble and snort their way through a big drug case.
