Netflix: Abla Fahita Puppet Series; “Rick and Morty” Season Four

The religious conservatism in Egypt is slowly receding and in its place is the increasing expression of art. Enter, Abla Fahita, an Egyptian-based puppet act that’s made for adults but being enjoyed by the country’s youth. And of course, in an effort to produce locally-sourced content so as to increase its streaming footprint, Netflix has ordered an Abla Fahita series set to debut in 2020.

According to Deadline, the show will be produced by OKWRD production in cooperation with ASAP Productions & EP  Amin El Masri. The comedy-drama will show how Fahita’s life is turned upside down following her stardom. It will mark the character’s first attempt at acting in a scripted series.

The series will be made available internationally in 60 different languages including an English dub for America.

What Netflix WON’T have in America is the fourth season of Rick and Morty. The streaming service has just debuted the first half of the show’s fourth season in international markets but not in the English-speaking countries. For the States, Rick and Morty Season Four will be made available on Hulu until March/April of next year when HBO Max will launch with the series.

English-speaking audiences are so pissed that Rick and Morty won’t be on Netflix, that Pornhub has been a popular illegal destination for Rick and Morty uploads which made the show one of the biggest searches for Pornhub in 2019 joining the likes of The Simpsons, Big Mouth, American Dad, and Family Guy as the top-ranked searches for Pornhub.
