Move Over Wordle! Steamed Hams: The Graphic Adventure Should Be Your Next Useless Exercise

Sick of Wordle? Me too! In fact, I’m willing to bet most of the scores being posted on Twitter are bullshit anyway. Fortunately, GameJolt has hosted a new browser game that is all about bullshitting others for personal gain. User @neodement has produced a game adaptation of the popular “Steamed Hams” bit via The Simpsons. The name of the game is Steamed Hams: The Graphic Adventure.

“Steamed Hams” comes from a scene in the Simpsons episode “22 Short Films About Springfield, which first aired over twenty years ago.  In the anthology episode that features 22 short scenes about Springfield’s citizens, Principal Skinner has Superintendent Chalmers over for lunch ala “dinner with the boss”. The luncheon does not go according to plan, as Skinner burns the ham he was preparing, leading him to kind of bullshit the occasion. After Skinner burns the ham, he tells Chalmers that he’s making “steamed clams” for lunch as smoke fills the house. Skinner attempts to convince Chalmers that what he had prepared “steamed hams” for lunch,  his Albany-slang nickname for hamburgers.

The new point and click game allows you to play through the motions of Skinner as he serves up his patented “seamed hams” for his boss that goes reasonably well for everyone except Agnes. Click the link above and check it out for yourself!
