MATT GROENING HONORED WITH LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FROM WGA

Not only is Matt Groening the creator of two HUGE animated television series with The Simpsons and Futurama but Matt has been at the forefront of modernizing the prime-time animation industry in getting affiliated with the Writers Guild of American West. As a result of Matt’s deeds he is the proud new owner of a new Lifetime Achievement Award from the WGAW that certainly magnifies the long time animator’s contributions to the industry. This is of course after last year where Matt Groening got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, celebrated the 500th episode of The Simpsons, and just still kicking ass in every sense of the word.
