Lisa Kudrow Now Starring In Two Animated Presentations For FOX
One way or another, FOX is hoping to get its bitch (that’s a technical term for the character Lisa Kudrow is voicing who is, in fact, a female dog).
FOX has had a hell of a year in picking up new original adult animation, however, it doesn’t look like the network is done yet as the series is looking now at TWO animated presentations featuring Lisa Kudrow (Friends) as the star.
The first one we told you about last year, Lyle & Caroline, Kudrow has a bit more skin in the game because she’s a producer for that show. Now, Deadline is reporting that Kudrow will also lend her voice to the titular character behind Therapy Dog. Vanessa Bayer was at one point attached to star and we reported exclusively that so was Anthony Jeselnik.
Written by DuVall, Crittenden, and Allan, Therapy Dog is about a dog named Honey (Kudrow), a poodle mix with frizzy hair who has studied Carl Jung and loves tummy rubs. She leads group therapy sessions with the neighborhood animals as they work through issues with their owners and one another. At the same time, Honey tries to find joy in her stagnant marriage to a St. Bernard named Chief and becomes tempted by a wild coyote with a dangerous magnetism.
Therapy Dog is a co-creation of Sharon Horgan and Clea Devall and the pilot presentation will feature both voicing characters as well.
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
